I'ver got an older 630 with the Wisconsin V-4 that is having governor issues. I replaced the fuel pump, lines, and filter this winter and it has been running great this spring. This past weekend I was having issues with the engine trying to run away. The rpms would start climbing. I also noticed that the throttle response was really slow. I would start the machine at low throttle. Once it was running I would throttle it up and the rpms would slowly climb. Throttle it back, and the rpms would slowly come down. Now when I start it at low throttle the rpms start to climb on their own. I went to the back of the machine and manipulated the governor by hand, but it slowly moves and allows the rpms to climb. I don't think that manipulating the linkage is the correct fix as it was working just fine before this happened. The manual doesn't describe any fixes other than the linkage. Any ideas? Thanks, Will
