I have a 542b bobcat that wont sit still, is it possible to describe how to adjust the control arms or is it pretty envolved. Thanks

Here is some info but not specific to your model. Search creeping or neutral adjustment and you should find some more reading.
Do this at your own risk.
Put the machine on blocks so the tires can rotate, roll the cab back to acess the hydro pumps start the engines and seewhat way the wheels go. Now move the lever until they stop.
Down by the pump will be 2 blocks for each lever that hold it in neutral, one of them is not touching when the leveris held in the true neutral as youe are right now. Its just a matter or moving it untell it does touch. Wear parts might have to be changes if they are too used up to get it 100%. but you canusually make it much better. If you want 100% the dealer may be kind enough to photcopy part of the manual that cover this for your model. You willlikely need to buy a few pieces if you have 1500 to 2000 hours plus.
