It's 28 degrees here. I tried starting fluid & it started immediately, thanks! I have noticed that I have to heat the plugs a lot longer than is called for (even in the warmer months). I've never had to use ether with this engine though ...is that relatively normal?First verify that the right steering lever isn't in the aux detent position. Next would be to pull the air filter and give it a shot of starting fluid.
How cold is it there?
I just had you use the ether to verify that is was getting enough fuel. It's 28 degrees here. I tried starting fluid & it started immediately, thanks! Okay, tanks. I'll try to have a look at them this week.I just had you use the ether to verify that is was getting enough fuel.
I'd check that all the glow plugs are working correctly.
Verify that they are getting power first. If not then check the relay.
Next pull them out of the engine and connect them to the wire one at a time and have someone push the switch for 20-30 seconds and see if they glow all the way to the tip. If you have digital volt/ohm meter you can also check from the threaded stud to the hex, they should be around 1.5 ohms.
