I have an old NH 455 diesel that shells the flex coupler between the flywheel and hydro. This seems to happen about every 1-2 years with very few hours in between. Does anyone know if this was a well known problem on this model? Or, what to do about it? Seems like there would be a better solution to having the shop pull the engine to replace this so often. Frustrating, please help. Thanks

Could the engine/pump alignment be out? it could cause it to eat up couplers faster than it should.
