Unfortunately, it is not that simple. The rim for the 8.50-12 tire is much wider than the rim for the 5.70.
New rims from BC run about $150 each. When my old rims rotted out, I made new ones from garden tractor rims. See this:

We have 2 lathes out at the farm. We used the larger one for this job. It has a 20" swing and is 66" between centres.
