I have a '96 450 with a gas kohler, that i love to death, it was my first bobcat and so far has been awesome. it has aux hydros, have to move the right stick over to engage them. has the quick connects, and they have the caps on them because i never use them. also, when i try to pick up something too heavy, it will tip forward - which i thought was normal. on the 443, the aux hydros seem like they are always flowing. there is a hose going from top to bottom, and when i remove the hose everything stays sealed, but the arms won't raise and she won't move. plug the hose back in, everything is back to normal. it has foam filled tires, wheel weights and some other counter weight in the back - the 450 does not - but with the 443 when i get to something too heavy, it won't tip - it just won't lift it. so my question is: why do the aux hydros always flow? how do i turn them off? second: why will it just not lift something thats too heavy? is it possible there is enough counter weight that the hydros simply cannot lift it up? i'm assuming the diesel motor itself is significantly heavier then the gas kohler, add the wheel weights and solid tires i'm sure there is some significant counter balance...on my log splitters there is a safety check in the valves - do bobcats have something like this? or is there something wrong with this rig? it was originally owned by the city, they sold it to my boss 8 years ago with 1200 hours on it, it now has 1435 and i have receipts from the bobcat dealer going through it - and this guy was meticulous with maintenance...i can't imagine there is a problem that he wouldn't have fixed. any help would be great. thanks guys.
