The PO of my 440B replaced wheel studs with all thread on one axle. Not surprisingly, the all thread and std nuts have not held up. Has anyone had need to replace wheel studs, not with OEM parts but with oversize knurled portion studs? I have no issue with upsizing from 7/16 to 1/2 studs. In fact, that is my preference. I have already replaced the center section of one wheel and will need to do the same with the wheel on subject axle.

I have done it on other machinery. You may be able to get a bigger knurl and keep the same thread size so your nuts and wheels would interchange. Just have to figure out how big you have to team the hole to get a decent hole. My local Napa has good catalogs with pics and specs for studs and lug nuts
