440b wheel sources

Finding new or good used wheels is tough. Not yet verified but a post indicates trailer wheels have same bolt pattern. I can open center hole as needed but am curious about inference that skid steer wheels are built heavier than trailer wheels. My application is not near as severe as what some skid steers will see ( minimal side loading. main use is jockeying wood from tree removals to my truck) but don't want to invest time and money only to see wheel failures. Would 12 or 13 inch "Firestone" tread pattern snow tires hold up to this use? Bob the Treeman and my 440b named Little Bob

why not just get the proper wheels and tires? i see rims and tires for sale on craigslist for the smaller machines all the time. trailer rims are not meant for that much torque, they are only designed to carry weight.

Cut out damaged center. Fit center from spoke style aftermarket wheel. Check for true, tacked and rechecked. Welded front and back. Primed and painted. $10 for the wheel, $12 for the primer and paint. Now repeat 3 more times.

I had 2 of my 'repurposed' lawnmower tractor wheels fail on me. I went to bobcat and priced out some 463 wheels, and got a pleasant surprise. Cheers - SR
