Working on my new to me 440b. Replaced all the external hoses and pressure washed 3 inches of oil soaked dirt, twigs and leaves in the persuit of other leaks. Machine has aux hydraulics and the right hand steering lever linkage is in place but extremely stiff due to lack of use. I have the maintainance manual but there is no info regarding the aux hydraulics and what is to me a mystery lever. On the left side near my knee is a short wall mounted lever that unfortunately is not connected to anything. What is it for and what linkage is missing? I want/need the aux hydraulics to control a grapple.

Hi Bob, The lever on the left with the orange knob on it should be the throttle. Since your machine has been repowered, it may not be hooked up and the throttle handled differently. With respect to the aux hydraulics, the lever and valve are connected by a cable, which is likely bound up. Since your machine is a 440b, it likely did not come from the factory with aux. hydraulics. When retrofitting aux's, the cable is a pain to fit, so check to see that the routing is smooth and not kinked from the lever to valve linkage. It could be routed the wrong side of a hose. Or it could just need lubricating / replacing. Hope this helps - SR
