Hi All, I picked up a 440 Bobcat that has a later VIN but isn't a 440B or Farm Boy. I'm fixing some wiring hackery going on and I want to make sure I am understanding this all correctly. There appears to be a relay that is grounding out the ignition module. Of all the wiring diagrams I've found they only have a traditional coil shown so I can't verify that this is proper behavior. I assume it is, but would appreciate confirmation. Also, it appears that the relay controlling the ground is switched by the positive lead coming off of the regulator. Is that proper or should it be switched off of the ignition switch in the cab? It appears someone chopped up the engine harness so I want to make sure it wasn't wired improperly. I do know other areas have been wired improperly, such as sending the regulator charge through the harness in the cab and back down the the battery instead of connecting to the battery directly in the engine bay. The wiring diagrams I'm seeing show that it should be bonding to the positive lead at the starter relay where the battery cable connects from the battery.
