My 4 in 1 is bent and wore beyond repair. Should I buy a new claw to fit it, assuming one can still be found for the Bobcat model 74 or should I have someone fabricate one using my sides welded to a new bottom?

only the claw is bent and wore thin
You are talking about the front part of the 4 in 1 bucket? if so, i doubt you will get another one of those bits. You may need to look for a cheap replacement if you haven't got the ability to repair the old one.
I repaired one i had, i removed the floor and made a new one, it was that bad. It wasn't too much effort, just took time and materials.

I would think a good weld or fabrication shop could easily rebuild the worn parts by welding in new steel. Bobcat would probably want like $1500 for a new one anyhow lol.

I called bobcat today. Claw assembly $3900, local welder wanted $1500 to rebuild bottom without teeth. Called another bucket builder, they wanted $1500 to 1700. Called another, attachment builder, they said $700. I was looking mine over today, I would like to attempt to straighten mine and if it does not work, then have my bottom rebuilt.

I'd do the same, if you can't get it right, get them to do the job for you.
