Found a place that just did a repower for a similar 371 (from the '70s).. they used an 18HP Vanguard engine and they fabricated some pieces to retrofit the new engine and make everything work. He said it would be $1700 for everything. Is this a good price? any comments on the engine or doing this repower? They no longer make Kohler replacement engines apparently. I see I can get the same engine cheaper online so I didn't know if this is the best way out for me. make sense? anyone want to buy a 14hp K371?
