my question being? backround first came in clutches slipping eng shooting flame out exhuast.unit looks good hr meter reaads 500. trie PLAN d to get him to trade for s70 (farm unit) would not go for it. my plan of action is pleg condeser carb kit pull head inspect valves clean carboN comp was hi0 LAP VALVES NEW POINTS ETC. QUOTED 6 PLUS PARTS. WILL ONLY RUN WITH CHOKE ON. TO REITERATE PLAN PLUG WIRE POINTS CARB KIT PULL HEAD INSPECT LAP VALVES AM I MISSING ANYTHING? BEEN AWHILE ON THE OLD ONES. PUTTING CUST AT RIGHT AROUND A GRAND AM I DOING HIM A DISSERVICE. DONT KNOW HAT SHAPE CLUTCHES ARE IN BUT NEED TO GET ENG RIGHT FIRST OLD CAST 14 KOHLER.

The k321 is a great motor. The fact it will only run with the choke on indicates its not getting fuel, check fuel filter, tank pickup, pull the Carb apart, check for varnish. I have 2 of these in wheelhorse tractors, 1 has atleast 3500 hours, its never been apart. Good luck and let us know what you find.
