So the motor came out (again), and was totally torn down. Turned out, at some point, the stellite tip on one of the cam followers had come off and fallen into the bottom end. The PO only replaced the follower and had made no attempt to clean out the bottom end. I fished out a chunk of smashed stellite the size of a dime, as well as a bunch of other shrapnel. The only things below the head that I was able to salvage were the cases, the barrels and the crank. It is now one of the sweetest running motors that I have ever built.</p></blockquote><p></p>
