Hey Guys, I have a 260, Series 2 ( Bought new) , 1,000 hours, which has developed a quirky issue. Sometimes , the water temp indicator will climb , rather quickly, to the red zone & shut down the engine. Most of the time, if I catch it climbing, I can stop , rev the engine to full throttle, & the indicator will fall, as quick as it climbed, back in the mid normal range. I have checked water level, which is fine. I am thinking maybe a sticking thermostat , or faulty temp sensor ? What do you guys think ? Thank you all in advance.
