Hi, I've owned this unit for many years and have never connected anything to the aux hydraulics. I purchased a used grapple bucket recently and tried to test it out yesterday. After connecting and using the scroll wheel in my right hand joystick, I was only able to apply pressure in one direction. Is it possible that this unit cannot operating dual acting hydraulics or is the wheel supposed to actuate in the opposite direction as well.

One other question, does one have to rotate the ring on the hyrdraulic connector once pushed in to lock it and make able to use?

The scroll wheel on the 236B is supposed to be proportional and move in both directions for a grapple. If you're only getting pressure one way, it could be a solenoid issue or just a sticky thumb wheel since you haven’t used those aux lines in a while.

As for the couplers, usually, you just push them in until they click, but some of those older flat-face ones do have a locking collar you need to twist to keep them from popping out under pressure.
