I have a 2040 that I recently bought with major hyd peaks and I removed motor and Hydraulics to repair and never dreamed it would run again and got all back together and runs fine with no leaks until you go across rough ground quits and will start right back up seat belt and seat sensor are bypassed from previous owner not sure where to start fluids are full I did notice sometimes the head light flickers before it kills but always starts right back up any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated

Definitely an electrical problem, since the lights flicker I would start with the ignition switch and go from there. Loose wires, connectors hanging on by a strand or two, rusted or corroded screw terminals, all those are problem spots. Also, check the wiring to the fuel shutoff solenoid for soundness.
The bypass wiring in and of itself isn't an issue, but knowing how some people do hack jobs I'd check it for the above issues. I'm a big fan of solder and heat shrink tubing and good clean contacts.
