Using grapple and after 4 hours left side started bleeding off then just locked down and would not raise or open. Took back to shop and bleeding all lines with no change. Will open with jack so not locked up. Is this a controller issue?

Machine side or Attachment side? What are you bleeding off? There is no controller used if you use a grapple bucket.

I bled the grapple side, the control for it is a left/right toggle on the bucket or right controller.

You mean Joystick? Do you have Joysticks or hand foot controls?
Do you have codes?
We need a little more info.
What Serial#, what Set up (Joystick or Hand /Foot Controls. What is the issue?
DO you have a double Cylinder Grapple?
For what I understand, you have a double cylinder grapple and one side would not go up or down, but the other side will?!
So if that is the case, the issue is in the cylinders or lines. You may have a leak somewhere or the seals from the cylinder is blown.
Has nothing to do with the machine, if only one side is working.

Joystick controls and twin cylinder grapple. I don't have the serial number with me. At first one side started bleeding off after opening then it stopped opening at all. Now, it doesn't open and the other side bleeds closed and won't stay open.

How you operate the grapple?
