Looking at buying a 299D2 need some advice. Machine is high hours 5447, but allegedly the hours were fairly light. Was used mainly to fill grain bins and some general utility work around a farm. As far as the dealer knows it hasn't run a hammer and any other harder work. Were sitting at 32k out the door, but I dont know if thats worth it. FWIW this is my first skid steer, but ive owned other machines. The Cat is well maintained looking with all service done through the Cat dealer. Recently got new tracks and sprockets about 10 hours ago.

Check for cracks in the frame, common issue with suspension
Check service records for first engine oil change, should be below 500 hrs
Hydraulic oil change should be below 1200 hrs for the first change
