Good Morning,

I have a 2012 Bobcat S850 that will not shut off with the 3 position switch in the cab. The unit continues to run with the switch in the off position. I have replaced the switch. As I walked by the unit this morning it was powered up ready to be started. I pulled fuse 23 (bobcat controller) and the unit remained powered up until I went to put the fuse back in and the machine powered down. I am lost on what I can look for. Any help would be great

Thanks

I removed the fuse to keep from running the battery down. Was not really sure on how to kill the power

New member, same problem. Sorry for thread resurrection:

I have a 2018 S550 SJC machine 860hrs.

Intermittently, the machine will not power off. Key off, out of the switch, engine keeps running, full power in the cab.

Here's what I have done:
1) Replaced ignition switch. Same problem
2) Replaced all relays, tested all fuses. Same problem.
3) Installed fuse buddy (parasitic tester) and found F11 (Bobcat "gateway") remains powered up after key off/out. Pull the fuse, engine shuts down. Re-install it, key off, that circuit is drawing around an amp, and I have full power in the cab.
4) Searched your forum and found a likely culprit could be the Fuel shut off solenoid. I do not believe my engine has a fuel shut off solenoid. It has an Inlet Metering Valve. Does that fail the same way? Mechanically stick and cause power to remain on?

I have removed it to inspect. Seeing nothing obvious, I just re-installed it. But I didn't try cleaning it or...

Am I on the wrong page with the IMV? This is a very expensive part to replace to just see if that helps. Even aftermarket parts are hundreds of dollars.

A little more info in case this helps: I bought this a year ago with a full tank of diesel. It is now getting close to the red empty line. Is it possible this has old fuel in it, which clogged it? This machine has run flawlessly since I purchased it.

Thanks,

Adam
