2010 T630 T4 Serial# A7PU11454 Roughly 6000 hrs Not equipped with 2 speed (although it has a snail button that you can adjust a secondary speed from 1-99) The regular travel mode is inconsistent from the start, it moves slowly and will suddenly slow down further/shudder to the point of hardly moving. No noise or vibration has been noticed. When you hit the snail button you can change the speed to 99 and it moves at, or very close to the speed it should move in normal travel mode. When the machine is cold, it will run 10 - 30 min normally with the snail button pressed, at a normal speed and then will suddenly lock up. Both the tracks and the arms lock up with the parking brake and arm lock lights on the left panel coming on. Within 5 minutes of the first lock up, the machine will become unusable and will hardly move an inch. Our mechanic, who was a Bobcat mechanic before he started his own company, said that when the hydraulic oil reaches 100° Fahrenheit things start going wrong. A few times both the parking brake and arm lock lights began to flash very quickly and sporadically together and I was able to hear the fan revving very slightly to the same rhythm as the lights flickering on the display. The machine is normally run with the left joystick controlling the tracks and the right controlling the bucket. We've tried running the machine in the H pattern, but it did not seem to change anything. The machine has had the left joystick base changed and it did not seem to make a difference. It displays the following codes as active when this happens, but does not store them: D4007 (active twice at the same time) - Right CAN Joystick Y-axis Not In Neutral D3907 - Left CAN Joystick Y-axis Not In Neutral The below codes came up at some point in the recent past and were stored, but have not been coming up when this issue happens. I suspect that the machine recently had the battery die or stalled and the below codes could be the result of that. M3304 Deluxe Panel No Communication W3275 Interrupted Un-switched Power M3128 Interrupted Power Failure M0309 Battery Voltage Low The machine is currently at Bobcat and they have said the following: Charge pressure low; 364, should be 470-520 (assume they mean PSI) Found drive motor case drain flow Check brake bypass holding 500 PSI Both drive motors have failed and should be replaced The quote we’ve received is $14 500 CAD for new drive motors from Bobcat. If they need to be replaced, we would likely buy re-manufactured drives and have our guy do it. The problem is neither our mechanic or I am confident that changing the drives will solve the issue. Our mechanic was going to speak with Bobcat again today after going over a few things with me. We don’t want to dump all kinds of money into this machine only to find out the drives weren’t the main problem. I realize that oil flowing from the case drain means the drives are worn, I just want to be sure that is the main problem. I know this machine has a lot of hours, we were planning on replacing this year, but given recent events with COVID-19 and how it may affect the housing market/work we’d like to hold off if we can. Any advice would be appreciated.
