Hello, I have a question regarding two threaded holes on either side of the oil filler tube. I've never noticed them before but recently I noticed some oil on top of the head and then noticed that these two holes looked like they should have bolts in them but now I'm not sure. I have pics but not sure how to post them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
 
I found a pic online of the engine, and it looks like the holes are typical. I could be that there was some spillaage, or if the cap is vented it might have dripped a bit.

Thanks flyerdan!! That is a perfect pic that shows me what I need to know. The holes are open...maybe for some kind of accessory or bracket. Anyway that answers my question. Thanks very much! RichieC
