#1 Cylinder has a scare size of a quarter down the front and same down the back of Cylinder wall. I just bought it and ran it for all of 15 min and it over heated. Then after it cooled down I filled with water and it shot water out of the top of the radiator about 2ft. took to mechanic and that is when he found the scared cylinder head and said turbo is getting ready to go too. Can you bore out the cylinder head or is it best to buy new motor. Any one have an idea of what I am looking at? Thanks Brian

Anyone have an idea of where to get a new or reman 2005-2007 334T/M2 4-Stroke Turbocharged, 3-Cylinder cummins 78 hp for my NH C185? Thanks Brian

Those engines are VERY hard to find and very expensive. Easily going to have 4-5K in a rebuild. Remans are something like 8K or some crazy number. Those engines had a habit of kicking a connecting rod through the block, so the likely hood of finding a block better than yours for a reasonable price is slim. I would sleeve it back to standard and maybe you can get away with buying only one new piston. Check NH parts prices before you dig in too far. Parts are big $$

Yes well so far a new one is 13,700 and reman is 11,500. I was told you cant sleeve it. is that not accurate. Turbo is going too...guess I got a bad deal here.

I see no reason why you can't sleeve it. It means they need to machine the bore out to take the sleeve then press it in. It gets done all the time.
There are shops that service turbos, so that could be done as well. If you get it done early, it may be cheaper to repair.

I think you are getting bad info. There shouldn't be any reason why you cant sleeve it. Get the numbers off the turbo and call some shops. Should be able to rebuild it. I have had good luck with Midwest turbo connection.

check with engine rebuilders in oakes north Dakota, I know they do skidsteer engines but not sure which ones. If there is enough meat in the cylinder walls a decent engine shop should be able to bore and sleeve it though.
