The other morning I went out to use my 753 Bobcat. Once I started it I pushed on my forward and backward control arms and the machine just locked up. So I brought down my safety bar and pressed the green button and my parking brake released plus I had all 4 lights that showed the machine was ready to use. However when I went to raise the loader bucket the foot pedal was completed stuck and would not move. (By the way, this machine uses a key to start it.) I went and rengaged the safety bar and pushed the green button and got my 4 white lights but still no lift or bucket pedals, they were frozen stuck. (My machine does not have a door switch and only has 345 hours on it. Unit always in the shed.) So I called up my local Bobcat dealer's service manager and told him what had happened. He told me that it was possibly a shorted wire, so I then proceeded to lift the cab and hand trace all the wires. I made sure no wires had any bare spots and they all looked good. I spent the rest of the day doing various checks, with no abnormal signs any where. (When I do a code check it comes back with "none".) So my question is has anyone had this problem of locking tilt/raise foot pedals on a Bobcat before? I have not yet talked with a mechanic who has experienced this. This bobcat is my pride and joy. Any help would greatly be appreciated! Could it be in some sort of hydraulic lock in one of the solenoid valves? PIN# 515843901

The machine does go forward and back, plus it does turn but has no bucket or lift control.
Could be the lock solenoid on the valves. Usually a short will through a code. Have you checked for stored codes by pushing and holding the light button? Next thing I would check is fuses

The code on the light switch said none. I checked all the fuses and they were good. On the valve block I see 2 solenoid valves is there a 3rd one?

I see 3 solenoid valves on my aux hydraulic valve body. Two on top with black caps and a third black solenoid in the center of the lower valve body.

I would swap the traction relay with another relay (headlights) and see if that may help. Normally, the traction relay locks the machine from moving also, but its easy and worth a shot. Relays can be funny and work intermittently unlike a fuse. I have the same machine and my traction relay caused me a headache by its intermittent behavior until I replaced it.

reaperman: I will do that tomorrow morning and see if it solves the problem. Thank you so much for the information.

reaperman: I went ahead did swap the relays and still had the locked pedals. The valve the right pedal is attached to, is the tilt and lift valve. I noticed two solenoids on it. One at the bottom which is horizontal and the one at the top which sits in the vertical. I don't know which of those solenoids actually lock the valve? reaperman, if you have any other information please let me know. Ralph

No error codes, lights on teh dash light up as they should.
Does your control block leak at all?
There will be two solenoids sticking out at right angles on the control block where the foot pedal linkages attach. These lock the pedals out. If your control block leaks oil, these solenoids can get full of oil and not work. Check resistance of the coils, if they are ol, drop the seat bar and start the machine, see if you are getting power to the coils. No power means you may have a bad fuse.

Tazza: I have no oil leaks. I will test tomorrow the coils. Thank you
