I have a 2002 Bobcat 753, still working on the auxiliary hydraulics. It appears that the previous owner worked on them as well. I was cleaning the stems and it appears that the small, maybe 3/4", long plastic piece in the stem may have been incorrectly installed. In one stem the black plastic piece was in with the open end facing up and in the other one the open end was facing down. Can anyone tell me which way is correct? Anyone have a picture of one disassembled? Thanks in advance Dennis

I pulled the stem out of my 753 to check for you and I don't think it is supposed to come apart to be honest. The only parts you can buy are the outer o-rings. Best I can tell it looks like the piece is open looking from the bottom. I would replace both if it were my machine to be sure.

Sadly I don't have a diagram of how they go back together, but I have had mine apart for cleaning before and it did actually work.
They are not meant to be a serviceable item, you just change them out, but I figured there was nothing to loose.
