First time here, i have a 2001 bobcat 773g thats been sitting awhile and wont start.

I drained fuel, replaced filter and primed thinking that was the issue, but no. Fuel solenoid pulls in when turning over and machine smokes a lot as its turning over, but just wont start. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

if it has a block heater use it a coupla hours before trying to start, it will help it start. also check glow plugs if engine is equiped with them.

I have it in a heated garage.

Still struggling with it. Fuel primer ball is rock solid. I have fuel shooting off the rail return line when i open valve on fuel pump.

Glow plugs ohm good and are getting voltage when they should.

What the heck am i missing??

What eng do you have? Some have a timing belt. Which may have jumped. Which makes them smoke but hard to start.

No timing belt on this engine. It's still a pretty simple engine, no fuel, no start. Have someone keep squeezing the primer ball as you crank the engine over. With the filter change, it still helps to have a second set of hands priming as your cranking
