Hey all, I have a 2001 873G with the AHC hand controls. I started having an issue with the AHC light coming on and locking up the controls. Seemed to happen when I used the right hand control curling it towards the seat. Which would be curling the bucket up. To start troubleshooting I opened up the right handle looking for rubbed through wires and loose pins in the connector. I did not find any. I tilted the cab back and switched the wiring on the actuators and still the problem was with the right hand control. Finally, I swapped sensors from the right to the left and the problem followed the sensor to the left side now. I called bobcat and was informed that part is discontinued and I have to upgrade controls for $3200. I took that sensor apart and the groove in the board doesn't look that bad? Any advise would be huge right now. Thanks everyone, Ryan.

ouch.... That price seems way too high for that. I'd try https://stores.allskidsteers.com/ see if they have an alternative.
Do you have pictures of the marks you are talking about? I assume it's the slider that runs on the carbon track that works as a resistor? If that is it, i wonder if you can bend the slider to run on an un-damaged section of the board.

I ended up finding a used part off eBay.
