2001 Bobcat 763 Ignition Issues

I have a 2001 763 and when you go to turn the machine on without starting it( key on engine off) it starts up anyways. So basically as soon as you touch the key it fires up. You can't just turn the key on to light up the gauges and hour meter or even cycle the glow plugs but all the lights come on. It has no problem starting, stopping or running. Any ideas? Really stumped. Thanks in advance

when it runs is the starter still engaged? best guess the starter relay is stuck

Could be a bad ignition switch.
