I have an S160 Turbo and was wondering if I can use hydraulic/hydrostatic oil to top off the chain case. Also, my back-up alarm doesn't work, however, the alarm works when connected directly to a battery. I checked the switches under the cab and it appears that they aren't able to make contact. Do I bend the brackets or is there lateral adjustment on the contact blocks? Thank you.

Hydrostatic oil will work, but pretty much any old oil will work in the chain case. People have even changed the hydrostatic oil and pumped the old oil into the chaincase (if not contaminated with water).
As for the backup alarm, if you loosen the brackets that touch the switches, you can slide them further back to make contact as they should. There should be no need to bend them.
