2 bald tires

I just purchased a JD260. The front tires have no tread and one sidewall has a large slice in it so I don't think it can be recapped (can it?). the rear tires look new. They are all Solideal tires. Can I replace just the front 2? Do in need to buy Solideal tires or can I use any tire with the same circumference? I don't really need solid tires. I will only use the machine at my site and flat tires are not a problem.

shouldnt be a problem. are you sure they are solid? solideal makes pneumatic tires as well

The tires should be matched left and right, not front and rear. This will cause excessive ware because the tires are locked together left to right and if the tires are different diameters they will spin at different rates.

I checked the tires today and it turns out they are pneumatic, not solid. I should be able to find replacements. Thanks.
