I have an older model 751. I always assumed turning key to on position turned on glow plugs to warm, like the older ford powerstrokes, but now Im thinking I am missing a step.? Cant locate any info on the web. Its -10 with wind chill and dont want to burn out plugs. Any help/advise appreciated. Snow coming tomorrow...!!!

Not that cold here and have 743 I go 20 sec then start that cold I would try 30 sec
On a 751 with a pug engine, I don't fully remember, but there was a glow light on the left side of the panel. When the light was on, the glow plugs were on. There was a control module in the engine bay that did this and monitored the engine temperature to know when to activate and when not to.
Does the light on the left come on then go off?
