I have an lx665 skid steer i bought with a bad motor. Went through the entire thing and got the motor good. Now i got the motor in and is struggles to crank over. But when i crank it picks up rpm as if the pump or control valve was holding it back. While lifting the arms up it will start and run until the arms max out on height and it will die. I checked the pressure relief for the boom lift and everything looks good there. Also checked that I'm getting return fluid out of the control valve body. I know it has something to do with the boom because I also tried jacking up the skid steer and running the drive motors at the same time to see if it would start and run. Hoping someone has some ideas.

Thanks

Check that the auxiliary hydraulics valve is in neutral. It's controlled by your rh wrist. Or its the lh spool under cover between your feet when sitting in it.

Got it fixed, tried the aux hydraulics and found that the linkage was just binding up. I took a hammer and lightly taped the spool linkage and it came out. When i tried the aux hydraulics again it got stuck again. I repeated till it would move smoothly without getting stuck and it fired right up.
