1996 873 with deutz

Please help. I have a 1996 873. It almost started today with a little either but know just cranks. It sounds like something is grinding.

I don't know what part of the country you live in but because the Deutz engine is oil cooled, the manual says that the machine must be warmed up to temperature above 30 degrees F before starting. I live in Arizona and I must keep mine in the garage at night if I want it to start in the morning.
