The seat bar handle will not stay in the upward position and looking for suggestions to solve this issue, in short it sucks that the seat bar will not stay in the upward position for getting in and out. Please suggest on what to check or have replaced thank you.

If it's the type with the pivot point inline with the steering levers, there is a spring and plate to give some friction, the springs go bad and can be replaced cheaply. The dealer have them at a good price.

has it got the littltle triangle wedgeges?if so run a bead down the contact points.
