I have a 93 742b gas bobcat. The governor has come apart and I need a replacement any suggestions as to where I might find a used governor pump?

Is there any way to repair the broken one? They are not available from the dealer anymore, so do all you can to repair the old one.

Another place you might try is a combine wrecking yard. Many older gas-engined combines used automotive engines (i.e. 225 & 318 Chryslers), and had belt driven governors. It is unlikely that you could come up with a direct fit, but with some fettling, it might get you going again.

Hmm... I replied to this yesterday and now my reply is gone??? Post some pictures of the gov and the damage to it. Maybe somebody will recognize is from a different application or can suggest a way to repair it. Almost anything can be repaired, it just comes down to whether that is economical.
