I'm new to the forum and would appreciate ANY information on my skid steer pertaining to setting the timing. My Toyota SDK 10 has a single bent push rod on it and I think it is because the belt, or chain jumped time. However, I can't find any information on how to set the time on this machine. I have the maintenance manual for it, however it gives no instructions on how to set the timing. I don't just want to put another rod in it without setting the timing. Any help would be appreciated. This machine has the 1Z 4 cylinder diesel in it. Thanks

The dealer won't give you this information? Generally most dealers will help owners out with this information as you buy parts off them. See if you can talk to the service department.

Give me a few days, my dad knows a guy that used to own a diesel injection shop. He is going to have a look to see if he has this information, i'll get back to you with what we find out.

More details
My dad spoke to a toyota dealer, he said if a push rod bent, there is a possibility that something happened causing it to bend and you could have a bent con rod too. These engines, wne out of time have pistons hitting valves, it is possible they are bent too.
It may be best to pull the head and inspect/get the head checked.
I shold be getting an email with details some time today, look up my profile and send me an email for a copy.
