I test drove an 1989 863 514440001 series yesterday and noticed a red trouble light was lit on either the the upper or lower right hand side of the indicator panel - the panel on the upper right side of of the cab. Sorry I can't be more specific, just noticed as I was getting out of the machine. Again, it was the light on the either the upper or lower far right side. And, it was red for sure if that is any help. We checked the engine oil and it was full (dirty, but full). And the hydraulics worked fine. I'm hoping that it is something as simple as the parking brake indicator - I set the brake when I stopped. Can anybody identify the top and bottom far right indicator lights on an 863? thanks,

Sorry about leaving you hanging so long.....
The far right light on the top is air cleaner plugged indicator. On the bottom is hydraulic charge pressure warning.

No that's wrong......=).
Bottom right is hydraulic filter plugged.
That's out of the book.

Great! Thanks for taking the time to look it up - the trouble lights - both indications of poor maintenance are VERY consistent with the overall condition of the machine - so I passed on this one. The units are owned by a tree service that did a lot of storm damage cleanup both here in Florida and I think in New Orleans. They own 4 Bobcats, two of which are for sale. One of the 863s they were selling had the sideplates removed from the chain boxes and they were running the unit with the chain box open! The one with the trouble lights illuminated was the "nicer" of the two - still very rough. Basically an owner who simply "used up the equipment" and then sold it off. I'm glad I had the discipline to pass on this unit.
