I just bought a 01 1845c and trying to get it ready for snow. The coupler system is inoperable and both handles/levers have been sheared clean off. Cant figure out how to get whats left of the handles off they seem to be pressed on. I turned the handle with channel locks and it just turned without moving the bracket that is linked with the coupler pin. So I guess my question is how the remove handles and is this a common problem and I should just replace everything. This is my first experience with case loaders. thanks

Nevermind I figured it out. I didnt know there were bolts holding them on b/c they were also sheared off and the handle got twisted out of whack and fused to the sleeve. I had to use a sledge to get the pins up and the bucket off, which probably hasn't been off in years.

When they aren't used for long periods of time they sure can lock up. I have had problems in the past when i buy machines that have only ever had the one bucket fitted. Glad you worked it out.
