Hi everyone, I have a 1840 Case and I am getting it ready for another season of work. It has been a very dependable machine and I would like to keep it that way by keeping up on its service. At the end of last year, I noticed what seemed like a rattling sound when idling. Its not the motor itself, but sounds like its rubbing on the frame somewhere. I pulled the seat and the two motor mounts under there look to be OK. But what surprised me is it looks like the tandem pump is loose as the flywheel cover is shiny where it bolts up, and I can grab the pump and wiggle it back and forth. When the motor is shut off I can watch the pump wiggle back and forth on the flywheel cover. Having read something a long time ago about this happening in other Case machines, I looked for the information again and cant seem to find it. Is there anyone here familiar with this problem and what should I do? Thanks for any help....Doug in Missouri

It should have no movement, how is it mounted to the frame? it needs tightening up.
