I recently repowered my Case 1816c with a Predator 22hp motor from Harbor Freight. Initially I was disappointed as the new engine would periodically smoke very heavily. I was unable to return the motor because of modifications to the exhaust system so decided to live with it. As it turned out, once the motor went through a "break-in" period, the rings seated and it runs fine. This leaves me with a rather heavily used Onan B43M 16hp motor to dispose of. The reason for the repower vs rebuild is the difficulty in finding parts for this motor. I have read several forums where parts for this motor are almost impossible to find, so I am trying to sell the complete engine (minus electric fuel pump and exhaust). It has a brand new (never used) starter that was purchased and never installed until after I swapped engines. I just don't know how to get to the people that may need this.. Any help?

A quick google search indicates that ebay has lots of parts available, and this engine was used in John Deere lawn tractors and Miller welders, as well as RV gensets, one would assume.
Listing it in the salvage/parts forum here would be a start, as well as on any tractor or mower forums you might belong to. Possibly on Millerwelds, too. Craigslist can be viable as a lot of people use regional search tools when they're looking for a specific item. Regardless of where you list it, include the location where it's located, as well as as much pertinent information as you can.

Thank you.... I am new to this site and had to look for the "parts/salvage" forum. But I have it loaded there now. I don't know if you are able to load photos on the threads, and if you know how and can tell me, I will upload photos of the engine. If not, I can send photos via email for any response I get.

Pictures are difficult, the de facto way to add pics used to be host them on Photobucket and link to the post, but since they have become the king of ransomware they've pretty much killed their business.
There is an option to create an album here, near the top of the page there is a line that says Home Forums Photos... photos takes you to a page that has albums and there is a line to create an album or folder. Don't know if it still works, haven't used it for a while, but it's worth a try. I'd recommend naming the folder your username so it won't get lost in the generic Bobcat names.
After that, you have to get the pics into the posts, which Taz says is a simple copy / paste, but I can never seem to get it to work. Any kind of formatting requires physically typing in all the html codes and tags; I use this site as a cheat sheet, and preview - back to edit until it looks right.
However, I do use firefox, and I've heard that this forum hates everything that isn't IE like poison, so you may have better luck.
