Looking for an aftermarket backup camera

my advice is, buy one with the largest screen you can get for it, that will fit where you want to mount it,as you get older, them smaller screens become useless, IMO< unless your young and have great eye sight!
I won'r say I am any expert on things,
but from my experience and from friends that added them to machines,cars, trucks, (HARD WIRED NOT WIRELESS models)
they all the makes models we used all seem pretty much the same, in quality, prices have varied from pretty cheap to higher end ones, and we haven't seen any stand out differences in images or likes, and all we set up still work(longest might be 12 yrs or so)
the one I installed on my skid steer back in like 2017 or so, I got off ebay for like $75 bucks I think if memory is right, but it was pretty cheap,
, and it was a plug and play deal, , with a male Cig lighter plug for power (does have inline fuse on it too) and I already had a female cig plug in cab!
so I just had to run wires to camera and screen, and mount camera and screen where I wanted things, and it was installed, about as easy/simple as could be,
it still works, but the screen is so small,(4.5 inches or so) I seldom turn it on or use it, as my vision isn'rt what it used to be.
IF you work in a very dry dusty environment, you may have issues with lens getting coated with dust and require cleaning often, so, keep that in mind when mounting it! so its easy to get to to clean!
I am sure the higher end models, maybe have more features and clearer screens, but I don;' think there a MUST buy/have for most users!
a basic cam is fine for most, I'd try and stay with screens above 7 inches, to me screen size bigger is better as long as you can fit it!

I powered it with the “cigaret lighter” in the cab. This allows me to disconnect the power easily so it doesn’t draw power when the machine sits for long periods.
I mounted it all with heavy duty magnet mounts and it works great.

I got a wireless camera at canadian tire on sale for $80 canadian

I tried a single camera, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FX5R51N which installed easily. Later I went with a 4 camera system, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DF7JP228, which was a bit harder to mount due to its large screen. I used a Tackform mount, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079TGWRNR, which I mounted to the metal screen with straight mending plates. I hooked up 1 camera high on the back and the other 2 low on the right and left back. It works well.

I went with a 7 inch camera on a 773 and went wireless I got two cameras with night vision on one and have them hardwired into the 12 volt side with a switch to turn on turn off and made a chainsaw hydraulic saw to cut branches and put the other camera up there so I can split the screen and see what I'm cutting and backing up I got it all Amazon for 120 bucks

I installed a really cheap camera with 4 inch screen I got off Amazon 5 years ago and it comes in real handy. I chose the smaller screen as fits just inside the upper front left corner of the rops so I can just glance upward. I have the camera pointed rather downward so I can see the end of the machine and about 4 feet behind it, just enough to avoid hitting anything. The camera is the license type and fits under the lip on the rear of the rops on my Bobcat 732 which protects it from damage.
