I have an 873 that does not have an block heater that I can see. Where would the install location be? I am new at this, so please be kind.

what motor do you have, the Isuzu in my 843 had no frost plug I could use so I installed a in line heater in the hose, warms the whole motor in a few hours

A VERY quick search online doesn't show a true block heater as the standard install. An oil pan heater is what is quickly available.

If you have the Deutz motor, then the oil pan heater is the preferred method?

If so, I can post a pic of where the oil pan heater could/should be installed.

Is yours a Model F or Model G?

Check the side of your engine block to see if there is an antifreeze plug. The block heater is usually installed here.
when we rebuilt the motor we looked at options for block heaters but found the cylinder wall was leaving little room for a heater so we went with the in line heater and it works well
