If anyone has any insight to possible causes of a drive motor leaking hydraulic oil past seals into the chain case and or causes of possible high case drain pressure/proper shuttle valve operation (Bobcat 843), please look at the posts by Wylieman under BOBCAT>>SKID STEERS>>DOES POSTING WORK. bad bearings in gearbox. Blowing fluid into chain case.. Rebuilt, bearings & races, quad & outer seals. Resealed motor. 1st time inner & outer seals on balance plate only, rest of motor seemed 'ok', no external leaks, valve, geroler, drive, all clean no visible wear. Fired up, same leak, pumping...

bought an 843. Bad oil leak through chain case breather.
