T770, coolant pouring out of the muffler

If you are sure the oil looks good, you might be luckier than I was. Even if it is only a headgasket, the repair on my 753 was a b**ch. Turns out that wasn't the problem, it was the block. I have had the engine out for 3 months and a rebuild ready to go back in. I am way over my head and don't...

    Throwing good money after bad

Wow, I wouldn't have thought that. Thank you for the input. I have the old engine out by detaching it from the big metal bracket that connects to the hydro pump. So should I continue to take out the hydro unit and put it together then put it all back in?

That's just what I think about...specialized training, special tools, special machines, perfect working conditions, and the engine probably went in before all the plumbing that is now in the way. :)

Thank you for the replies and advice. Of course, I took the expensive route. Just purchased a rebuilt long block and it has been delivered. Now I have to install it. I had to take of the head and injectors on the old engine just to reach down to the rear bracket bolts. Sure don't want to take...

Thank you. I hoped I wouldn' t need a new gasket, after only "a little use" but compressed is compressed. Thanks again.

Bobcat 632 - Blown Head Gasket?

I had water in the oil, and thought I had a bad head gasket on my 753. Took it apart The gasket didn't look bad but I replaced it and put on a a new head. Followed manufactures recommendation. Ran the engine to warm up. When I went back to re-torque the head bolts, I saw water was back in the...

i cant believe i am the only one having this problem c238

Almost word for word what happened to me when I brought my machine to the shop. Nobody gives a damn. As I say, "EVERYTHING HAS COVID". Parts have Covid, shipping has Covid, business has Covid. Actually, what we have is an excuse for everything. But hay, we have a whole army of video game players.

No, I have the service manual, but not the repair manual. Sounds like I will need to get one.

See, that's the thing. When I get frustrated doing mechanics myself, I am SURE it is because they have a secret tool nobody else can get, and special coded instructions never released to the public.

I've been self employed in construction my whole life and always believed in the do it your self, but mechanics has always seemed a mystery. But your right, I learned my lesson on the hydraulic pump. Not to mention the 2 months they took.

Can that area be serviced without taking out the engine?

Please forgive a stupid question. The gear case cover is the area in the front, under/behind the water pump and the fan belt?
