New guy here. Log splitter make sense?

Do you have plans for the splitter? What was the total cost to build? Did you get the hose and fittings from Northern Tools?

    Stuck Pins on Bobtach

Freed at last! I used a giant bold and a sledge hammer to pound out the pins. My brother-in-law helped me pound out the pins. It took a bit of sweat but they now move freely. We pounded for a while and at first it didn't seem to be doing anything but then I noticed that the pin had moved very...

    Stuck Pins on Bobtach

I can't get grease into the pins and they are not moving when I bang on them. I would be encouraged if I saw some movement. I really don't like the idea of having to split the Bobtach and reweld b/c I currently only have an oxy/acetelyne set up and my welds are pretty ugly. Has anyone tried...

    Stuck Pins on Bobtach

I was hoping that the air chisel would vibrate the rust and let the penetrating oil get in a little deeper. Not sure if it did anything at all. I tried heating the pin with a propane torch but that didn't seem to do much either. Just sprayed some more PB on it and figure I'll keep spraying it...

    Stuck Pins on Bobtach

The only bolts I can see are the ones for the handle that are welded to the Bobtach. I have not tried taking of the nuts off the welded bolts that hold the handle on or the roll pins. The dealer told me I would not likely be able to get the roll pins off with the bucket still on.

    Stuck Pins on Bobtach

It's been long time but still have this problem. I have not had to change attachments so I have not done any more than occasionally drench with PB Blaster but I still have not been able to get the pins out. The dealer told me to bang on the pins from the bottom with a big hammer. I have tried...

    1999 863 Bobcat

I have not had that happen with mine but a couple of years back there was a recall on the hand controls on my 99 863 and they came out and replaced both hand controls free of charge. Not sure if that issue was covered in that repair but worth a call to your dealer.

    Engine fuse keeps blowing

This problem has been resolved by a dealer service tech. This is a 1999 F Series and does not have the Boss Gauge package. Turns out it was the Fuel Shut Off Solenoid. The mechanic knew right away what the problem was based on my description of the problem. It took him about ten minutes to get...

    Engine fuse keeps blowing

The fuse does not blow when the key is turned on. The fuel gauge, ammeter come to life. I can turn the headlights on, the preheat can be engaged and I can manipulate the controls with the key in the on position but not started without blowing the fuse. When I start it, it either blows while...

    Engine fuse keeps blowing

I checked that yesterday after reading one of the posts about it. I pulled both wires from the hour meter and it continued to blow the fuse. Thanks for the info though.

    Engine fuse keeps blowing

My Bobcat 863 was running great, used it recently for about an hour, got out and left it idling and a few minutes later it died. I went to start it and there was no electrical. Checked the fuses and the engine fuse was blown. Replaced the fuse, cranked the engine and the fuse blew again. Tried a...

    Stuck Pins on Bobtach

I have a 1999 863 and the pins will not budge on the Bobtach to remove the bucket. I have been able to get grease into the zerks but I don't believe that the grease is getting to the whole pin. I have drenched the pins in Liquid Wrench pentrating oil but they still won't release. Anyone know a...
