Still alive, keeping busy, haven’t been doing too much work with the machine lately. Fixed a couple of broken off fence posts with it a few weeks ago. Counting the days til retirement 😊
I have to do something with my 440b - it is losing oil out of the rear left - I am planning to drop the entire chain case out - looks easier than trying to stand on your head...
Well, it is no mini-ex, but for the money, it is pretty amazing. I guess it all depends on what and where you plan to use it. Personally, it suits my situation perfectly.
Oh wow - Just one?? Obviously it would have to be a Bobcat, and it would have to be pre-"SkyNet" (LOL) - so... I have always admired the 743. The 773C is a pretty rock solid machine too.
But my old 440b has won my heart... she has been with me for 30 years this year, since she was brand new.
Tgrumm: Just wanted to bring to your attention that the post you are responding to is 11 years old, and that kermode has not logged into the forum since 2012. I doubt very much that you will get a response.
I think you would have to get a hold of Bobcat for a definitive answer, and even then, records may be sketchy. The most important part is to have your s/n available for parts ordering - year of manufacture does not really mean much with Bobcats.
The manual you are looking for will likely cover...
It takes specialty equipment to do it properly - best thing to do is take them to a diesel injection service shop. They can check the spray pattern and cracking pressure. They would be able to replace the tips for you and reset the cracking pressure, if required.
HTH
You may want to remove the injectors or glow plugs (if fitted, can't remember it that is a thing on a Duetz). From here on out, only attempt to turn the engine by hand, not with the starter.
Hoping for the best on this end!!
Welcome to the Forum!! How did you establish 1975 as the year of manufacture? You must have a very late one - as I thought they were superseded in the late 60's...
Ebay is a good place to look for manuals - good luck!
