My Gehl 1999- 6635SXT with the oil cooled Duetz turbo 80hp has a timing belt. I changed it at 2200 hrs. The engine is interference, meaning it will bend a valve if belt breaks. Was under $100 for belt kit and came with the tensioner tool.

I have one for my gehl 6635 that I've yet to use.

When my 6635 did something similar it was due to the drive coupling failing between the engine pto shaft and the tandem pumps. $12 coupling, but requires pulling the tandem pump to access.

I found on Ebay "3.5mm Diesel Fuel Injector Return Line Hose 1 m" and then locally (autozone) hunted down the spring clips that you squeeze with pliers & release once in place. Used these on my 6635SXT and no leaks anywhere now...it's been almost a year and still no leaks. My other thought was...

Yes, my 99-6635 has bucket controls on the right, drive/turn on left "T" handles. I got such a deal on mine (w/rubber tracks) that I wasn't concerned about the brand. Since then, I've done a lot of research and Gehl skids seems to be right in there. Some prefer only Gehl once they've used them...

Picked up a 2000, Gehl 6635, turbo, 2 speed, standard flow hydraulics. Has 2750 her on it. Condition not bad, but previously used in a commercial biz, so other than routine maintenance, thing were only fixed when something failed. Replaced timing belt, decreased everything, changed oil, filters...
