What is that little bracket for?I took this stuff off thinking I'd remember but I don't, so if the bracket doesn't do anything major it's fine off, kinda like the belt guard I don't use the skid for work just light projects around the house.

Okay I'll be watching it tomorrow what I'm having trouble with is the choke cable and the spring, I've got it installed, I didn't wanna do it that way but figured might be easier to figure out the cable,

Anyone help me figure out in lamen terms how to reinstall my carb it's been 10 days and I should of took pictures I know how it attaches to the block or intake but the choke cable , I don't know where the spring attaches or the throttle rod I should of taken pictures, any help would be awesome...

Guy tried stick welding used the right rod, he said everytime he tried getting past the one point it just kept cracking. New one is $500 guy has one shipped used for $300 I think for $200 it's worth getting a new one.

I'm thinking Maybe bcuz of the cracked manifold it isn't running properly too as it's cracked bad

I just purchased an older skid is a 642 so is it a Mitsubishi or Ford engine? I need an exhaust manifold for it, so im looking on Ebay and Marketplace or if anyone knows where to get a used one. Also is that mean the choke is on or off as it will only run good like this.
