hey guys, I wonder if anybody knows about aftermarket engine rebuild kits? Who made the 1845 gas engine, or is it, as my case dealer said, is it a case engine and can only be rebuilt with the $1000 plus case master kit? I rebuilt a big block 454 for about half of the cost the dealer wants just...

Just saw your post, and had the same thing a few years ago. Turns out the fluid was badly contaminated in the chain drive, and was freezing up. I drained it, flushed with diesel and re-filled, everything was back to normal. Good luck.

Anyone have any info on where to download/buy a manual for mid to late 80's 1845 case w/ gas engine? I found the first 50 pages with most engine info just by dumb luck, but I really need to fix some hydraulic leaks, probably the main pump coming off the engine.Any pictures etc. much appreciated.

Hey, I need to do some work on my Case 1845,(gas) and I need some part schematics or diagrams. The local dealer wants around $160.00 for a owners manual. We could muddle through w/o the manuals, but it would sure cut down on time & aggrevation if there were some reasonable way to get...
