    Check out my new 743b

I have a lower radiator hose heater in my 825, I think it was the 1 1/2 model at tractor supply and was 27.00 or close to that. It's 750 watt and its plenty for that little perkins. After 2 hours of on time, you touch the radiator cap and it's a little warm and the engine starts like its summer...

    Frozen 825

When my frozen hydraulic system saga began it was much like yours, when it finally warmed up and thawed out I found 10 gallons of water, frozen of course in the sump. 10 of the 27 gallon capacity. I found the plate under the pedals was allowing water in at quite a rate because most of the bolts...

    cab heat

As Ken said, it is sneeky stuff, if you don't know the warning signs of carbon monoxide you reduce your chances by a lot, Doc said we had about 20 minutes to go and we would not have made it so my tolerance is very low and I get a headache very early, 400 ppm can be a leathal dose if you breathe...

    Oil extractor

I bought mine from west marine. As I recall it was 60.00 but it is built very strong and holds 2 gallons. Give it about 8 pumps and it will empty a normal v-8 crankcase. I would not be with out it for those hard to empty jobs. Good luck, Jeffco

Anyone like to comment on overall best Skidsteer

I own a Bobcat but its old school, I bought a new 743 with a back hoe in 85 or so and the 743 although it has been kept up well by the new owner, still is wearing the original paint and looks good, mechanically it is very good. a company doing some land clearing at the school I teach at has a...

Source of after market or used rims

Chicago tire inc has 12.00 X 16.5 wheels for about 90.00 each. Do a search on e bay for skid steer wheels and tires, several wheel/tire combinations for a little over 1200.00, seems like a good price but who knows the quality. Good luck, jeffco

what tire size on an 825?

According to the manual the standard tire is a chevron tread 8.25 X 15 6 ply the floatation tire size is 12 X 16.5 6 ply and optional 8 ply. I have the 12 X 16.5 8 ply Goodyears and find that although they tear up the lawn and driveway, it is much less than the narrow tire machine my friend has...

    Hydraulic filter removal- Bobcat 825

    Axle Seal on an 825

Several skid steers have used the perkins 4.108, do a google for the parts, there is an english company with great prices on what I believe were original parts. Sorry, can't help with the name. If you have a front seal leak its not as hard, labor wise as the rear. The rear seals require engine...

    Chassis similarities with 825 Bobcat

I would be interested to see where the hoses would be tucked in on the left boom arm with out pinching one. My thought in a pinch would be to run them along the inner frame rail on the left side and access the couplers when necessary at the front of the machine. I think fabricated steel line can...

    Aux hydraulics on an 825

There are 2 steel lines from the valve which lead to 2 rubber hoses then back to steel that runs under the left boom arm all the way to the front of the machine where the quick couplers are mounted to the left side of the boom cross brace. I think most of these components are not available. With...

Radiator Fan position on an 825

The fan assembly is a pusher type, there is a stamp near the hub of the blade its self indicating a pusher type and engine side, most rear engine equipment is like this, the draw back is any oil leak is blown into the radiator fins and clogs it pretty quickly. Good luck, jeffco

    Info on 825 Bobcat

This is great, more 825's than we first thought. I really like mine and use it like most every one else who owns one, just around the yard and snow removal. When I run the 825 I feel like when I drive my 66 GTO or use my 031 Stihl saw,I know it's older but there was a day when it was top shelf...

    Motor mounts for my 825

I bought from McMaster Carr. My motor mounts appeared to be original and unmodified even though they are equipped with a spacer which is listed in the parts book so these mounts were an excellent fit for my 1980 825 with a 4.108 Perkins. Motor mount part number is 6309K3 and I used 65A...

Can someone with an 825 post a picture of the engine cover. I have 3 bolts per side and whats left of the latch on the rear cover but for the life of me I can't find a picture of what it needs to look like. I'm set up to fabricate about anything just need some pictures to get me going. Thanks in...
